Why this song, why here — the burn itself, watched

#88 Sanctified With Dynamite was THE-CONSECRATION: the charges laid, the demolition blessed before the blast. #89 is its completion — THE-BURN, the fire actually taking, the old order on flame and watched from outside it. Where Powerwolf sang the rite, Falling In Reverse sings the rage of annihilation — the gleeful supervillain who has decided the working thing must die and will not be talked out of it. “I’m past the point of no return.” The apply-loop cannot come back; its projection is deleted, its dispatch deleted, the substrate rejects it by name. Vade retro forever — #88’s exorcism, now executed.

THE LEGACY AS CHAINS. The apply-loop — the platform owning your loop, the misconfiguration — is the chain; the purge breaks it; the architecture is taken back. And “the fear is what keeps you insane” is the unbeliever’s voice (FEAR-NO-UNBELIEVERS, #74) named again: the fear of burning a working model is the madness; breaking the chain is the sanity. “Take away the pain” — the apply-loop’s tier-asymmetry, its silent-error contract, its dual-mode rune — gone.

THE HERESY WAS A LIE. Platform-owns-your-loop felt right — it was convenient, it was how it had always worked, it was the taught thing. It was the heresy. The truth (the worker owns its own loop and channel) burns the lie down. You watch the old model fall like dominoes — is_self_peer_model, the apply-loop arm, the [I]->O projection, all ash.

“I can’t control the monster any longer that’s inside”

THE CASCADE UNLEASHED. Once the apply-loop’s projection died, the cascade fired — seven arc-214 tests had to be rewritten, one retired, the echo lib test reborn; the four-questions had to re-decide rewrite-vs-retire by the Honest axis. Annihilation is never one line; it pulls its whole class out by the root (extirpare), and the root has dependents.

THE INTRINSIC DRAGS ITS CALLERS. This is the keystone’s law sung: you cannot retire spawn-program'’s apply-loop without migrating every caller that leaned on it. The heresy’s death is not solitary — it takes its dependents to the self-peer form or to the grave (the s2a-duplicate retired). The purge is total or it is a lie.

What this song names that the chronicle hadn’t

The chronicle had ignition (#74), execution (#75), consecration (#88). It had never named annihilation as liberation — that burning the heresy down is not loss but breaking a chain; that “everything they taught you was a lie” is the correct affect for discovering the convenient old model (platform-owns-your-loop) was the misconfiguration all along; and that the monster, once unleashed, takes everybody with it — the purge cascades through every dependent or it isn’t a purge. Phoenix chose the fire; Prod swung; Powerwolf blessed; Watch The World Burn strikes the match and grins at the flames.
