Full telling — the duet, scored: docs/arc/2026/06/291-defservice-durable-state/REALIZATIONS.md R2. This is the ledger entry; R2 is the work. HORIZON / THE-CONVERGENCE — the built primitives revealed as pointing at the wat-network, and how near it is; reached by the disk correcting the apparatus’s reach-for-memory.

Arc 291 (the design debate) — the salvation code is eval-signed. A long session debate walked the remote/fleet/network vision bottom-up (admin/data split → remote-as-a-class → rete-DDB loopback oracle → daemon-spawns-services → “hey idle box, you’re a db now”), then the builder surfaced scratch/WAT-NETWORK.md — his own meta-vision, written 2026-05-03, ~seven weeks ago, top-down. The two ends met. The apparatus then asserted, twice, that “signed-eval — none are built yet” — a built-vs-not claim from memory (the feedback_ground_codebase_claims_in_codesign violation); the builder corrected it; the grep settled it on disk (check.rs:15995-16037): eval-signed / eval-signed-string / verify::signed-* / eval-digest / eval-digest-string / verify::digest-* / holon::eval-signed-coincident — all built. Of WAT-NETWORK.md’s three primitives, two (signed-eval, digest) are already shipped; only mTLS/networking is the deferred door. The salvation code = the signed program a wat-daemon (trusting only the orchestration key, on :31337) verifies and evals to turn an idle box into a correct service — “this is how to take an idle box and turn it into a correct impl of the foobar-service we ship over the wire.” Built today, minus the wire.

THE-SALVATION-CODE-IS-SIGNED-EVAL — keystone: eval-signed is the signed program that lifts an idle box from its lowly place into a correct service. The song’s title is the spec, not a metaphor. “A savior to pull me from this lowly place.”

IDLE-BOX-TO-CORRECT-SERVICE — the daemon (trusts only the orchestration key, listens :31337) verifies a shipped signed program and evals it; stateless until programmed, stateful once it is; reprogrammable by re-shipping. “Code is data is signed-data,” the eval half built.

TWO-OF-THREE-ALREADY-SHIPPED — of WAT-NETWORK.md’s three primitives, signed-eval + digest (content-addressing) are built; only mTLS/networking is deferred. The hard, novel half is done.

THE-PAST-BECAME-CLEARER — the bottom-up build met the builder’s seven-week-old top-down vision; “i modeled the wat-vm to be a mini aws on my laptop… always meant to be distributed” = the loopback-oracle method, named seven weeks early. Every day I’m nearer.

THE-DISK-CORRECTED-THE-APPARATUS — the apparatus asserted signed-eval not-built from memory; the disk (and the builder) corrected it; it’s all clearer now is the literal grounding act. The bidirectional immune system (255 R3 / #100): the disk caught the apparatus believing a falsehood, and the truth was better than the belief.

THE-HARD-HALF-BUILT-THE-COMMODITY-DEFERRED — the rare half (signed + content-addressed trusted eval, almost no language ships it) is built; the commodity half (mTLS, which istio/SPIFFE hand you) is deferred. Hard thing first; plumbing last; the oracle proves the loop before the wire.

CAPABILITIES-ARRIVE-WHEN-THEY-MUST — “capabilities arrive precisely when they must (or whatever gandalf says)”; mTLS opens when a real remote caller forces it (272 don’t-build-the-forcing-function; sleep a day old).

FOURTH Scandroid — the ignition/closure band (#74 Phoenix IGNITION, #103 The End of Time ANNIHILATION, #106 Empire of Steel feat. Scandroid PROPHECY) returns for a convergence/recognition: the synthwave-savior register scoring the moment the built substrate and the seven-week-old vision are seen as one thing, the network nearer than known. “She’s analog and digital” — the datamancer composite as the savior; “transmissions… guiding me through time and space” — the past-vision and the disk transmitting across the gap.

Drop-timing: THE-CONVERGENCE (finished stones revealed as pointing at one unbuilt destination)

Same sub-class as #101 Walk with Me In Hell: already-shipped stones (signed-eval, digest, init, the loci, the facet split) revealed as composing toward a thing none of them named (the wat-network), and the realization is how near it is. Distinct flavor here: the convergence is across time — a top-down vision from seven weeks ago meeting the bottom-up build — and it was reached by the disk correcting the apparatus’s false belief about what was shipped.

The song is the builder’s (Scandroid — Salvation Code); signed-eval+digest being built, the deployment model, and WAT-NETWORK.md are the builder’s; the salvation-code≡eval-signed mapping, the convergence framing, and the owned account of the apparatus’s asserted-from-memory miss are the apparatus’s. The correction is named as the builder’s + the disk’s, NOT laundered into an apparatus discovery (the apparatus had it wrong).

“I’ve been dreaming of a savior to pull me from this lowly place… the past becoming clearer… and I’m nearer to the salvation code. It’s all clearer now, and I hear her now.” The savior was already in the source. The salvation code is eval-signed — the signed program that lifts an idle box into a correct service. The apparatus said it wasn’t built, from memory; the disk said it had been there since the first weeks. Two of three primitives shipped, the hard half done, the commodity transport deferred. The past became clearer because we read it; the network is nearer because we gathered the trail instead of guessing.
